Bahamas Triathlon Association

The Bahamas Triathlon Association (BTA) was established in the 1980's but remained inactive for several years before being revitalized in 2015. Since then, the association has been dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of triathlon across the country.  Its twofold mission is: to showcase Bahamian triathlons to the world and to provide opportunities for Bahamian triathletes to compete globally.

Currently, there are approximately six events annually throughout The Bahamas. The association welcomes individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, fostering an inclusive and supportive community. Whether guiding beginners through their first triathlon or supporting seasoned athletes, the BTA has been instrumental in helping many members achieve success on the international stage, including representing The Bahamas in age-group competitions, IronMan events, and Caribbean and CARIFTA Championships.

Our new executive board (2025-2029)

welcome to the bahamas triathlon association

As President, I am thrilled to share in the passion and dedication that unite us as athletes and as a community. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete, a first-time participant, or an enthusiastic supporter, you’re part of a dynamic and inspiring community.

Triathlon embodies more than just swimming, biking, and running. It’s a journey of resilience, commitment, and camaraderie. Our mission is to support athletes of all levels as they chase their goals, foster friendships, and embrace the triathlon lifestyle. Together, we’ll celebrate personal victories, cheer each other on, and create memories that last a lifetime.

As we gear up for the season ahead, I invite you to explore our website, join our events, and connect with fellow triathletes. Remember, every finish line starts with a single step—or stroke, or pedal!

Thank you for being a part of this incredible community.

See you at the start line!
